Terms of Service — SmoothRates LLC

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using ChessMate ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ChessMate is a platform that allows users to discover, share, and participate in chess-related locations, events, posts, and social interactions.

3. Eligibility

You must:

Be at least 13 years old (or the required age in your jurisdiction)
Have legal capacity to agree to these Terms

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

Maintaining account security
All activity under your account
Providing accurate information

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, posts, comments, profile info).

You grant SMOOTHRATES LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and improving the App.

You agree not to upload content that:

Is illegal, harmful, or abusive
Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
Contains malware or attempts to exploit the App

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App
Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
Use the App to violate laws or regulations

7. Content Moderation

We may remove content or restrict access that we believe violates these Terms or creates risk for users or the App. We are not obligated to monitor all content.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate third-party services (e.g., authentication providers, hosting, analytics). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and policies.

9. App Store Terms

If you download the App from Apple's App Store, you also agree to applicable Apple media services terms and acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for the App's support or maintenance.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMOOTHRATES LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMOOTHRATES LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Certain sections (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
